2005 New Year's Kick Off Party

Mecer East Africa Ltd. held its 2005 New Year's Kick Off Party on the 18th of January at the Parklands Sports Club. This event was held to appreciate all the Mecer Partners in the East African region, who have been of tremendous support to Mecer's cause and business as an emerging brand in this market.

Eng. James Rege, the PS for ICT in Kenya and Mr. Vuli Cuba, Vice-Chairman of the Mustek Group of companies, were the guests of honour during this event. They both recognized the challenge that the ICT industry faced in a developing economy such as Kenya and the revolutionary role that Mecer will have to play in order to build on the momentum that was slowly picking up in the liberalized field.

The event was marked by a large turnout of Mecer dealer and reseller representatives. A number of them expressed their enthusiasm in being part of the Mecer team at a time when the ICT landscape in Kenya is in great need of alternative competitive products that will add value to the ICT experience, without necessarily watering down the desired quality of objectives.
